Perhaps you have wondered how our shrimp stay warm during winter shipping...
How are the shrimp packaged and shipped?
The well-being of our little shrimp is most important to us. Therefore, when shipping in winter, we pay special attention to the factors of temperature and shipping time.
What this means in detail:
1. Packaging: In winter, the EcoSpheres are packed in styrofoam. This allows for better insulation during shipping.
2. Heat in the package: Depending on the temperature along the route, 1-2 heat packs are placed in the styrofoam box.
3. Shipping duration: We decide which shipping service provider will deliver each individual order based on the postal code. The EcoSphere should be delivered within 1-3 days. Below 0°C, we ship all packages in Germany via DHL Express or UPS Express. Above 0°C, delivery can also be made by DHL, GLS, or DPD.
4. The Route Check: For every order that leaves our company, we check the temperatures along the route to the designated postal code. This means that after receiving an order, we verify the postal code and select the ideal day in the shipping week for dispatch. Even on the day of shipping, the temperature is checked again for safety. The minimum temperature always counts here. Fortunately, we have quite mild winters in Germany. :-)
5. The Tracking Number: You will receive a package number with the shipping service provider's details upon dispatch. This allows you to better plan the arrival of your EcoSphere.
6. When do delays occur? Sometimes it makes sense to postpone the shipping of an EcoSphere by a few days. This is the case if it is clearly evident that it will become warmer again in a few days. In such cases, you will, of course, be contacted in good time.
